JKJCC: Expansion (FF&E) Roof Terrace Project

As part of the Javits Center Expansion Project, di Domenico + Partners provided program and
project level consulting services for the coordination and selection of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) for the Javits Center Expansion project.

As consultants, we coordinated and planned the development of furniture layouts, recommendations and selections of FF&E, recommendation and selection of materials, upholstery and fabrics, coordinated FF&E with existing interior finishes, provided specifications and cost estimates, developed bidding/procurement documents, assisted with solicitations, reviewed submittals and schedules, as well as monitored and coordinated FF&E installation.
The FF&E Project included the Roof Terrace (Level 4). In addition to recommending and selecting suitable exterior rooftop furniture, there was an opportunity to design built-in elements such as a series of trellises, benching and high bar. The space provides seating areas and various landscaped greenery to create a dynamic, flexible meeting place that compliments the overall project. The
design approach and finish selections responded to the existing architecture, materials, finishes as well as environment.
